I thought I would take a photograph of four regiments from my foreign contingent of the French Army. The cavalry are a squadron of Saxe Lancers these were painted by Tony Runkee.

The Independent Wargames Group. Being a Journal of views, prejudices, ideas and photographs of wargaming not just nationwide, but hopefully world wide. The name IWG was adopted in the early 1980's in response to the then dominant Wargames Research Group, but things have moved on, and wargaming appears to be in somewhat of a Golden Age, so sit back and hopefully enjoy my rantings.

The Royal Deux Ponts. . . one of my favorites, and yours are lovely!

Sorry for the delay in replying Stokes, the Deux Ponts are a pretty regiment. After I have completed the Rooth regiment I intend to paint the Garde Lorraine, which again have an eye catching uniform.
DeleteThanks Robbie.
Wow, indeed a really cute and fine regiment. I like also your bases and the terrain - very homogenous and well styled.
ReplyDeleteAll the best for you in 2015!
Peter
Thanks for the comment. The bases and terrain were pretty easy to make, honest.
