I also completed two bases of skirmishers to attach to each battalion of Young Garde.
Finally I completed my vivandre diorama to sit idly on the Waterloo table next year.
The Independent Wargames Group. Being a Journal of views, prejudices, ideas and photographs of wargaming not just nationwide, but hopefully world wide. The name IWG was adopted in the early 1980's in response to the then dominant Wargames Research Group, but things have moved on, and wargaming appears to be in somewhat of a Golden Age, so sit back and hopefully enjoy my rantings.

You continue turning out super-looking Frenchmen. The GW beasties are nice too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonathan, five battalions to go, plus supports. Its becoming a mantra.
DeleteWonderful job, love the skirmishers and the Waterloo vignette, inspired!
ReplyDeleteVery kijd of you Phil, the Victrix figures have some nice detail and are less generic than Perry and Warlord.
DeleteThe historical s are excellent. As to the GW, well, not my scene really.
ReplyDeleteGW arent my scene either David. I bought the magazines for the paint as it was a great value for money offer. As regards the figures, my daughter adheres to modern educational thinking? and avoids 'war' like the plague so I thought I would be subversive and paint up these. Not a swastika in sight.
DeleteVery colourful Rob.
ReplyDeleteThanks Colin, its a shame I will get rid o the lot after next year, but 28mm napoleonics would be too much.
DeleteNice artillery and your usual bit of fencing, bit thrown at first but the space marines look great,my nephews started with space marines and moved onto historical figures later.
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Iain, looks like fencing is becoming my signature. In reality its simply because I had some at hand and it pads out a base. I sometimes wish I had kept all my scrap wheels and sundry broken items. As for the GW stuff, great minds think alike.
DeleteEnjoyed the waterloo figures!
ReplyDeleteVery kind of you David, not my favourite battle but for a good cause.
