I thought it would be nice to put all my Saxon cavalry together just to give me the incentive to paint some more. The figures are Eureka, and of course Hinchliffe.
I couldnt help then having a look at my Hanoverian cavalry, just in case I needed/ to paint up some more. Its funny, well at least to me that all of the figures, were designed between 30 and 40 years ago and in my eyes still look wonderful.
That's one hell of a lot of cavalry Robbie! Between us we could probably field an entire Saxon army (Kesseldorf?) and you Hanoverians take us closer to Minden and the other western theatre battle.
ReplyDeleteActually Coiln there are a few more, I just seem to have overdone the painting.
DeleteVery impressive!
ReplyDeleteThere nothing wrong with a lot of the older ranges of figures, and sometimes I think they are better.
DeleteGood stuff Robbie are you taking the High Road to Carronade in May?
ReplyDeleteBrian,
DeleteIve never been to this show, but May is problematical for me as I have a wedding anniversary to celebrate then.
Hope it all goes well Mate we will let you know how things went.
DeleteAn impressive array of cavalry - like the saxons
ReplyDeleteThanks Allen,
DeleteI do have a soft spot for the Saxons.
Quality never ages.
ReplyDeleteExcellent figures
Thanks Paul,
DeleteHinchliffe ranges were amongst the best.
You've kept the old school look of these figures very well, so "age shall not weary them"
ReplyDeleteChris
What a splendid cavalry, fantastic details...and beautiful uniform!
